JORDANA KRUEGER-TOSCHER, LCSW, LICSW

Now Providing Tele-Therapy for Clients
in Oregon, New York and Washington

MY UNIQUE APPROACH

I've specialized in helping folks through tough times for almost two decades. Through a warm, down-to-earth, collaborative approach I'll partner with you to achieve your goals for change and find peace with the way life is. By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a focus on mindfulness and your unique strengths, I can help you understand and change unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Through our work you'll develop a better awareness of who you are, what you want and how to get it. I'll help you discover and feel confident in yourself, and figure out how to live the life you want. Together we will identify problem areas or places where you feel stuck and find new ways of responding that will afford more enjoyable, fulfilling outcomes. Change is always possible. Making an appointment for therapy is a brave first step in the process.

EXPERTISE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING

My experience and training make me especially qualified to help individuals manage a broad variety of concerns, including but not limited to:

  • Reducing anxiety

  • Navigating infertility and childlessness

  • Improving self-esteem, self-advocacy and boundaries

  • Coping with family and relationship challenges

  • Life transitions

  • Adult ADHD

  • Parenting neurodiverse young adults

I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from the State University of NY at Stony Brook in 2003, and my master's degree in social work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice in 2005. I then completed three years of intensive clinical practice and study, earning my LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) credential in New York in 2011. I have extensive training in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

I'm excited to be fully licensed in three states, providing teletherapy to clients in Oregon, New York and Washington .

DIVERSITY IS WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED

I'm dedicated to creating an environment of respect and appreciation for all clients' racial and ethnic membership, gender and sexual identity, social class, religious affiliation, nationality, body size, and disability status.  Throughout our work I'll promote an atmosphere of openness, trust, and safety where all attitudes, beliefs, values, and behaviors can be freely explored and discussed. I continuously strive to provide a safe place for all clients to be heard, appreciated, and accepted.

GETTING STARTED

Change is always possible, even when problems feel insurmountable. Making an appointment for therapy is often a brave first step in the healing and growth process. I offer a free, initial phone consultation to see if we'd be a good fit. Any time you're are ready to chat, I'd love to hear from you!
